W[/b]hen there is nothing to do but hope and pray to the Darkness, the Blood of the realms finds itself vulnerable and driven into corners by an enemy they can't touch. Society in Tereille is falling apart, the lands are suffering under the strain of fear and death and Darkness proves to be a cruel mistress. There is no reprieve in sight, the long-lived races are vanishing or have become the stuff of legends. Power is feared, not for it's abilities but for it's contagion.
Rot. It's a word that strikes fear in the heart of many. Rot has no cure, Rot shows no mercy and Rot makes no distinction. Rot doesn't care if you're good or bad. Rot just saps away your energy, your power and leaves you a husk of your former self before you die. It's a slow dath, undignified and not something one would wish upon their worst enemies.
